Am also tracing the Weeks family from the Midsomer Norton area of Somerset. My line comes through Pasque Weeks too but via son William, grandson Elijah, then his son Elijah, to his son George and on down. They were a very large family and the name is quite common in this area of Somerset. Am on Ancestry with it all if that any help.

My gt-gt-grandparents were Henry Kelly and Jane Steel Parsons. For some time I thought that my gt- grandfather was Henry George Kelly, but it turns out that my gt-grandfather was his brother William. I have traced the Kellys back to a John Kelly, born c1650 in Devon. He married Katherine Martin in Ashreigney in 1672. The father of this John Kelly was also a John Kelly. The Kellys moved from Devon to Michaelstone y Vedw around 1820, just after the birth of gt-gt-grandfather, who was known as 'Henry from Devon'. Jane Steel Parsons' father, Jamees, was born in Churcham, Gloucs in 1781. If you have any information about the Parsons branch of the family I would be most interested. My gt-grandmother (wife of William), was Mary Ann Parsons, daughter of John Parsons, the brother of Jane Steel Parsons.

Kind regards,

Trevor

I read your interview at Geneabloggers and thought I'd stop in to say hello. Like you, I love cemeteries too. Good luck with your studies in the fall. Heritage Studies sounds like the perfect area for a family historian.

Hi Beth and other Weeks',
I've been trying to figure out where the relatives of a William Weeks of Nailsea are from, as I think they may have moved to Nailsea in the 1800's, and came across all the Weeks' in nearby High Littleton in your post. I'm hoping to find a connection. I'd love to email with you, I'm at email removed for privacy (please use the contact page if you wish to make contact with Natalie) and am living in Canada. Thanks!
